The pub boasts, 4* AA rated Guest Accommodation,  and a micro brewery for discerning ale drinkers,  being rated in the top 10 pubs with rooms, real ales and real fires in the Financial Times in September 2010 and in the top five of the Times’ 50 best pubs in the country 2011.

We are a dog friendly pub and B & B, with our four legged friends allowed in the rooms & bars (not the dining room).

Superfast broadband

Offering free Wi-Fi, with up to 38Mg download, and a great coffee, three cosy bars, all with log burning stoves  in the winter and a dining room with spectacular views of the Cove, the Driftwood Spars really is a place that offers something to everyone.  keep an eye on our events and join us for a live link-up with a brewer or winemaker somewhere in the World.

History of the building - Why spars?

The Spars in the Driftwood relate to the huge beams or spars that keep the Driftwood standing.  They were salvaged from shipwrecks along the coast and were utilised to build the Driftwood in the 1650s.  The building itself offers a wealth of history having been converted from a tin mining warehouse, chandlery, sail making loft and fish cellar over the years to a hotel with bar in the early 1900’s and a public bar in the 1940’s.

Excellent location

The location of the pub offers easy access to the north Cornwall coastal footpath whilst being part of the St Agnes community in a vibrant village with much to offer both day trippers and people looking to stay. St Agnes is on the North coast, but centrally located in Cornwall, only 15 minutes drive form the A30.

Our aim is for you to enjoy your time with us whatever the reason for your visit.
