Drinking
The Driftwood Spars is a Freehouse and we pride ourselves in our variety of alcoholic beverages and in the quality we keep and serve them.
On the previous 4 Cask marque inspections we have received full marks for the quality of the beer. In April 2009 CAMRA Kernow named us ‘the pub of the year 2009’ We are very proud of this and enjoy promoting a wide range of real ale.
Our high turnover of beer ensures it is always kept in perfect condition, this also allows us to have an interesting and varied choice.
Beers
Cornish Beers that are almost always present (unless we have run out) are:
- Sharps Doombar
- St Austell Tribute
- Dartmoor
- 2 of our own beers (see brewery page)
- Skinners ale
We also have a guest ale which is often not from around here. Check Twitter for regular guest ale updates...
WINE
We have an extensive range from all over the world including some English gems!
Lagers
Lagers on tap include Carlsberg, Export, Skinners Lager (summer only), Erdinger, Budwieser & Red Stripe with a selection of bottled beers also.
Cider
On the taps we have Cornish Rattler, Addlestones, Thatcher's Gold and Thatcher's Pear
Large selection of single malts and rums of all ages!
