We are now recruiting for seasonal and permanent staff, full time & part time positions available.

All staff must be prepared to work early morning, evenings & weekends as the job dictates.

• We are a pub that offers fantastic real ale, a nice selection of rums & whiskey’s, B & B, excellent food, coffee & cake and we have our own mircrobrewery
• We offer 4 star AA accommodation, and have been listed in the top 50 B & B’s in the UK by the Independent (2007), coast magazine listed us in the top 10 B & B’s on the coast in the UK in February 2009.
• In November 2008 we were awarded Silver for Pub dining by Taste of the West.
• We specialise in real ale and always get full marks from Cask Marque and we are in CAMRA’s Good Pub guide.
• Our own micro-brewery brews 7 different real ales & alcoholic Ginger beer.
• We are now looking at opening a retails shop ‘Into the Brew’ selling bottled beer form our brewery & other Cornish breweries, plus Cornish produce such as jams & chutney’s etc.

Head Housekeeper

5 days a week, permanent, between 4 – 6 hours a day, weekends included.

High standard of cleanliness essential. Dynamic & highly motivated individual to lead the housekeeping team and work with other Heads of Departments in pushing the business forward. There are 15 bedrooms, and many public areas.

Duties will include:

Cleaning, ironing, washing, ordering supplies, room checks of other staff, providing ideas on how to improve the product on offer.

We want to build on previous success to make the Driftwood Spars the best pub, B & B, microbrewery & dining pub in the UK.

Approximate income £6,500 - £8,000 pa.

Kitchen Staff

We will be looking for KP’s, cooks & chefs over the coming months. Must be passionate about local food and interested in ensuring we serve the best pub food.

Waiters & Waitresses

Waiting staff with a passion & interest for food & wine and those willing to learn more about food & drink. Staff with barista training will also be required.

Shop Supervisor

Required to ‘Into the Brew’ selling bottled beer & other Cornish produce. Retails experience essential. Must be passionate about Cornish produce.
